About Cinquanti Real Estate
Forty years ago Cinquanti Real Estate opened its doors in a two-room office at 22 1/2 Main Street over Fiorentini Jewelers. It was 1968 when Bill Cinquanti (now a County Director) ventured out on his own after gaining his honest, hard working reputation selling homes for The Preston-Jones Agency in Homer.
Shortly after opening, Cinquanti was joined by his wife Laura, who would soon become a Broker in her own right and fourteen years later, take over the company. Both Cinquanti’s played significant roles in the growth and evolution of the Cortland County Board of Realtors. They both served as a Board President (Laura being the first woman), both were honored as "Realtor of the Year," and each played major parts in contributing to the development of the Multiple Listing Service as we know it today. In 1980, their son Steve joined the company and in 1995 he took over as Principal Broker.
The 1990's brought many changes to the Real Estate industry and the Cinquanti organization continued to stay on top of the regulatory changes in a very competitive environment. As pioneers in the area to install a computer network, they routinely work with programs that generate Closing Costs, Net Proceeds, Loan Comparisons, Rent vs. Buy Comparisons, Digital Purchase Offers, Income Property Evaluation, and others all developed by Steve Cinquanti himself. These innovations continually benefit customers and clients directly by giving them more information faster, and assisting them in making their decisions clearer and consequently easier.
Cinquanti Real Estate takes great pride in staying connected with the community by serving organizations that include United Way, Red Cross, Rotary, Zonta, and Loaves and Fishes. Activities like the annual Mitten Drive, Drawing Contests, School to Work programs, and funding sports and recreation programs keep them in touch with the community's youth.
Maintaining the tradition forged by his parents, Steve Cinquanti works hard to uphold the honest, hard working reputation his company has earned. We’re proud to say “the more things change the more they stay the same!”
